My fiance has lived and worked in US illegally off and on for 10 yrs., has a legal driver's license, has never paid taxes, no arrests. Will this affect the process of getting him permanent resident status? He's back in MX now. Would it be best to bring him here w/fiance visa or marry him there and petition for alien relative? How much time will it take? Can we do it on our own or would we need a lawyer? Thanks. | | |
