Help with H1b QuestionPosted on: 2009-08-06 08:45:12]
| Explanation: I hope someone can help me answer a question about an H1b visa. According to what I have been told, the United States and China have a reciprocal arrangement that is different from what the US has with other countries. Usually, an H1b allows the holder to enter the US for as many times as desired for the life of the visa. Apparently, the arrangement with China is different.
On this particular H1b visa, there is a 2 printed, and according to what I have heard, it means that the holder is entitled to two entries before s/he must renew undergo the application/interview process again. So even though the visa itself is valid for three years, there are only 2 entries permitted with THIS visa before the expiration date of October 27, 2009. The holder of this visa may find it necessary to return to China in the next three years. Will s/he have to reapply at the US consulate for another H1b visa just to return to the US? | | |
| Answer: This question doesn't have an answer. |
